She carries years of experience in compassionate leadership, bringing mindfulness practices to the construction industry. Gianna specializes in empowering leadership teams to model mindfulness, and lead both effectively and compassionately. She shares several mindfulness-based scientific frameworks with her client base, which now spans populations across the globe. She speaks regularly to law enforcement and first responders, as well as to psychologists, non-profits, schools and universities, trade associations, private companies, and retreat centers.
Gianna’s mindful leadership training started at SIYLI, Google’s own offshoot. She completed her two year practicum as an MMTCP certified mindfulness instructor through UC Berkeley’s Awareness Training Institute and Greater Good Science Center with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. She’s spent recent years training in self compassion through the Center for Mindful Self Compassion with Dr. Chris Germer and Dr. Kristin Neff, and honing her studies in Interpersonal Neurobiology through the Mindsight Institute with Dr Dan Siegel of UCLA.
